Campus-wide transfer of information and knowledge
December 12, 2019
What will the university and corporate campus of the future look like?
It is just under two months until Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) opens its doors in Amsterdam for approximately 80,000 visitors. In 15 exhibition halls, 1,300 exhibitors will be offering exciting ideas for professional AV system integration and electronic integration into commercial and residential buildings such as large, high-resolution displays, razor-sharp projections and integration into room and building technology.
For the eight year in a row, Sennheiser will be represented at ISE in 2020 with its business portfolio. In the coming year, the slogan of Sennheiser’s business communication stand is “Campus-wide audio for university and coporate.” Sennheiser is a family-owned company with its headquarters in Germany and locations worldwide and invites its customers to the world of information and knowledge transfer in the corporate environment. On 315 sqm, it is presenting its comprehensive portfolio for the campus environment in higher education and company environments.

University and corporate campuses have a goal: knowledge transfer and networking
The benefits of a corporate campus like Apple or Google are hardly different than the benefits of a university. At both locations, information is passed on to a large group of people that are on site or tuned in – often spread over a large area with different room scenarios and technical installations. Whether we are talking about lectures in an Audimax lecture hall, panel discussions or employee training sessions, information transfer hardly plays this important of a role in any other place as it does on a campus. At the same time, campuses face a double challenge as places of learning. Many things are still analogue at campuses, and innovative learning methods (a shift to distance learning) and increased hardware-software interaction require new actions.
In order to ensure excellent knowledge transfer throughout the campus, three criteria are decisive:
- Barrier-free information access for each participant
- Easy controlling and monitoring of all audio products, such as microphones
- Perfect audio quality for all product solutions used
At the Sennheiser exhibition stand from 11 to 14 February 2020, visitors can let Sennheiser Interpretation convince them of the advantages of the campus-wide audio approach. At Sennheiser’s familiar, spacious stand, product tables, demo rooms and presentation platforms invite you to get acquainted with campus solutions, try them out and – not unimportant for an audio company – listen to them. Visitors to the Sennheiser exhibition stand can be especially excited about these three highlights:
1. Perfect IT Integration: The New SpeechLine Multi-Channel Receiver
The popular Sennheiser SpeechLine Digital Wireless microphone series has been expanded: it is compact, in a discreet design, can receive up to four wireless microphone channels and has fully integrated antennas. The numerous connection options, including two Ethernet ports with PoE and Dante support, make the system the ideal extension for your campus or corporate network. The multi-channel receiver can also be conveniently controlled via the Sennheiser Control Cockpit. And best of all: with the SpeechLine Multi-Channel Receiver, Sennheiser offers an IT-optimised microphone system that integrates seamlessly into your existing IT infrastructure.
At the ISE, we are presenting the SpeechLine multi-channel receiver to the public for the first time – be there live! You will soon be able to find more information on the SpeechLine system webpage www.sennheiser.com/speechline-wireless-microphone-conferencing-system and at www.sennheise.com/ise

2. Next generation of MobileConnect: the MobileConnect manager and the ConnectStation
In 2014, Sennheiser was the first audio company on the market to launch an audio streaming solution with an intuitive personal hearing assistant. Six years later we will again be showing exciting new things from the development team of Sennheiser's streaming solution MobileConnect at the ISE in Amsterdam. The app not only shines with its new design from autumn of this year and is easier for users to use, the hardware is also optimally adapted to the needs of state-of-the-art university technology: The new ConnectStation is now smaller and thanks to Dante can be seamlessly integrated into any network environment. The whole thing can be easily controlled via a new software, the MobileConnect Manager.
Be at the ISE when the curtain is lifted for the first time to a large audience. There will be more information soon on the MobileConnect product page www.sennheiser.com/mobileconnect-smartphone-hearing-system-app and on the official ISE landing page: www.sennheiser.com/ise

3. TeamConnect Ceiling 2: holistic product integration for customer experience 2.0
The year 2019 was all about the new Sennheiser ceiling microphone. After a successful product launch and market introduction, the stated goal starting at the middle of the year was to guarantee customers extremely high usage compatibility with other product solutions and technologies in meeting rooms. Our aspiration: 100% of the focus during a meeting should be on the content and goals of the discussion. At the ISE, you can let yourself be persuaded in the TeamConnect ceiling 2 live demo room (right at the Sennheiser exhibition stand) that certification for Microsoft teams is “only” a first step in this direction even if it is a very important step.
