Global audio specialist will be collaborating with leading podcast professionals who will be using a special Sennheiser and Neumann ‘live rig’ to record two exclusive podcast sessions at the show

Marlow, UK, May 2023 – Sennheiser is delighted to announce its participation in The Podcast Show 2023, scheduled to run from May 24th to 25th at The Business Design Centre in Islington, London. This international festival boasts the biggest gathering of the global podcasting community in Europe and is nestled in the vibrant media district of the UK’s capital. On the first day of the show, Sennheiser will be teaming up with podcast royalty, Adam Buxton and John Kennedy [Tape Notes], to offer two exclusive sessions, one free and one ticketed, during which Kennedy will be utilising their brand new Sennheiser and Neumann ‘live rig’ to ensure the audience experiences the high-fidelity audio needed to be able to listen to their podcast at its best.

The 45-minute free session starts at approximately 4pm GMT on Wednesday, May 24th. During this session, Buxton will be interviewing Kennedy, delving into the creative process behind the acclaimed Tape Notes podcast and explaining why Tape Notes teamed up with Sennheiser and Neumann to create the 'live rig'.

Following that, the ticketed session starts at around 7pm GMT and will feature a complete episode of Tape Notes with Buxton as the guest speaker. The discussion will be centred around the music Buxton has been making for his hotly anticipated debut album, which is still yet to have a release date.

The 'live rig' for both sessions is equipped with top-notch Sennheiser and Neumann audio equipment to deliver an exceptional sound experience. It boasts two Sennheiser EW IEM G4 sets, renowned for their reliable wireless transmission, ensuring seamless connectivity. The Neumann BCM 104 broadcast microphone perfectly complements the setup, whilst monitoring the sound is made possible by the Neumann NDH 20 closed-back studio headphones, offering accurate sound reproduction and excellent isolation.

In order to provide an exceptional audio experience to each member of the audience, Tape Notes will be equipping each person with Sennheiser's EK IEM G4 pack, accompanied by HD 280 headphones. A total of 100 packs will be distributed for each session, ensuring that every attendee can fully engage with the podcast and listen to it at its best.

“We’re excited to be able to work with Tape Notes and Adam Buxton on some engaging and immersive content at this year's Podcast Show. High fidelity audio is key for the listeners of the podcast, so we’re happy they’ve chosen our brands to work with to bring their podcast to a live audience,” concludes Stephen Button, UK and Nordic Trade Marketing Manager for Pro Audio at Sennheiser.

“Moreover, we will showcase a diverse range of Sennheiser and Neumann products before, during, and after the sessions, catering to both independent podcast creators and established industry professionals. These products will be on display and available for people to try out and experience first-hand at the show. This is a great opportunity to speak with Sennheiser representatives about your podcast and other creative content you need, so make sure you come by and say hello!”
